Hindi language and its development, history of Hindi language, Hindi literature and literary movements, objectives of language and literature, study of *Ramcharitmanas*, and *Dhruvaswamini* by Jaishankar Prasad.
Law and Media
Concept and evolution of media, theories of communication, freedom of speech and expression, right to privacy, Right to Information, media and criminal law, tort law, legislative privileges, contempt of court, Official Secrets Act, journalists' rights, media ethics, self-regulation, and human rights.
Political Science – III (Public Administration)
Nature and scope of public administration, bureaucracy and its theories, local government, Panchayati Raj and urban local bodies, district administration, financial administration and budgeting, parliamentary control, policy formulation, planning, and public administration in India.
Contract – I (General Principles of Contract)
Law of contracts, proposal and acceptance, consideration, privity of contract, lawful object, capacity to contract, free consent, standard form contracts, void and voidable agreements, contingent contracts, quasi-contracts, discharge of contracts, doctrine of frustration, and remedies for breach of contract.
Indian Legal and Constitutional History
Legal history of British India, East India Company administration, judicial reforms, Mayor's Courts, Adalat system, High Courts, Privy Council, codification of laws, development of criminal law, contract law and evidence law, personal laws, constitutional development, Government of India Acts, Independence Act, 1947, and framing of the Constitution of India.
